She is the daughter of actors Randhir Kapoor and Babita and the younger sister of Karishma Kapoor. She is the paternal granddaughter of actor and filmmaker Raj Kapoor, maternal granddaughter of actor Hari Shivdasani, and niece of actor Rishi Kapoor.
